lyrics

Remember walking around the neighborhood and going way past the line

Sitting in our parents cars talking about life just to pass the time

Listening to the songs I only know because of you

We couldn’t wait until it snowed and we stayed home with nothing else to do

We knew the trouble would pass by and you would always be there for me

To us, the world was still brand new and we didn’t have a clue who we’d be

And the trouble we knew back then is nothing like the trouble you are in now

We didn’t see our lives like this and we never thought that we would never see a way out

Remember all of the pictures we took, they'll always be in black and white

You got me out of my mind and you always would find a way for us to make it through the night

You told me you were there and you showed me how to run from the problems we both fought

I wasn’t alone but still I’d only keep getting even worse off

I knew the trouble would pass by and you would always be there for me

I thought it would all work out and I didn’t have a clue who we'd d be

And the trouble we knew back then is nothing like the trouble you are in now

I guess I knew it would end like this but I never thought you would never see a way out

I never thought you’d be the one who would teach me how to lose

You swore you still cared, but every day you there was another excuse

And I know we can’t just hit rewind and live like we did then

But with your picture on my wall, it’s too damn hard to keep myself from playing pretend

We knew the trouble would pass by and you would always be there for me

To you, the world was still brand new and we didn’t have a clue who we’d be

And the trouble we knew back then is nothing like the trouble you are in now

We didn’t see our lives like this but I never thought we would never see a way out

The trouble we knew back then is nothing like the trouble you are in now

We didn't see our lives like this but we never thought we would never see a way out

We didn't see our lives like this and we never thought we would never see a way out
